Opening Offer Pricing
What each appointment involves, and what it costs
No sales targets, no pressure. These opening offer prices apply to private clients for a limited time.
Hearing Services Program
Eligible pensioners & DVA clients
Eligible clients may access subsidised hearing services and devices through the Australian Government Hearing Services Program. Have your card details available so we can confirm your eligibility.
A Commonwealth Seniors Health Card alone does not provide eligibility for the Hearing Services Program. Other eligibility pathways may apply. Not sure? Call 03 9067 7769 and we'll check with you.
Medicare rebates
Medicare rebates are available for eligible diagnostic hearing assessments when we receive a valid written request from your GP or medical specialist.
For a comprehensive audiological assessment, we recommend asking your doctor to request MBS Item 82315 — air conduction, bone conduction and speech discrimination audiometry — or to clearly describe these tests on the referral. Your assessment at Wang To Hear may also include middle-ear testing (tympanometry) where clinically appropriate.
Already have a referral, but the required testing is unclear?
You can still book your appointment. With your permission, we can contact your GP or specialist before your visit to clarify or update the request.
Medicare requires the appropriate written request to be in place for the diagnostic service. If we are unable to obtain the required information from your referring practitioner before your appointment, the assessment will proceed under our private client pricing. We will always let you know beforehand where possible.
Tip When booking online, upload your referral or bring a copy with you, so we can check your Medicare eligibility before your appointment.
Private hearing services
Standard Adult Hearing Assessment
A comprehensive hearing test — how you hear tones and speech, plus a check of your ear canals and eardrum function. Your audiologist explains the results with you during the appointment. A detailed written report to a third party is not included.
Diagnostic Hearing Assessment with Clinical Report
The same comprehensive assessment, plus a written clinical report sent to your GP, ENT specialist or referring practitioner with your consent. Choose this one if a doctor has referred you, or if you need documentation.
Ear Wax Removal
Microsuction under direct examination — no water, no syringing. We look in both ears first and only proceed if removal is appropriate. If your ears are already clear, we'll tell you.
Hearing Aid Consultation
A no-obligation conversation about what you're struggling to hear, which styles suit your ears and your budget, and what a trial would look like. You are not committing to anything by attending.
